Name:	Peanut	Age:	Four years old
Gender:	Female	Breed:	Pomeranian
Home:	Magnolia, Texas, USA
This is Magnolia's Miracle Peanut. She goes by Peanut. She is a four-year-old Pomeranian. She lives in Magnolia, Texas, which is how she gets the first part of her name. But we call her Peanut, as I said, because she was just a little peanut when we first got her, and she's the color of a peanut as well! Our girl is very smart. When she gets ready to eat her dinner, we tell her to pick up her toys. She goes through the whole house retrieving her toys and brings them to the kitchen and places them in a pile. She can also sit up and beg when you ask her "Is it your turn?" But most of all she is sooooo sweet and she loves to give kisses on the nose. We love her very much. Hugs, Angel

   My name is Deuce and I came to live with my humans from the local animal shelter when I was six weeks old. Some people think only bad dogs, or old dogs or mixed breeds are at shelters, but I proved that wrong!  

      I have brought a lot of happiness to  my parents after they lost their first dog to cancer. I was (and still am!) a real handful but I am learning new tricks every day. I can sit, lay down, shake and LOVE tennis balls. And I love the beach, too, but those darn crabs are too fast for me! Maybe next time, Mr. Crab - I am not giving up yet!

Dog of The Day-8-30-2019

Name:Carl
Age:Six years old
Gender:MaleBreed: Rottweiler mix
Home: Tennessee, USA
 
   Carl is a one-year-old rottie mix from Tennessee. Mixed with what, we do not know, and it does not matter.  He is named after the precious children's book series "Good Dog, Carl," about a beloved Rottweiler.   

      Our Carl was a stray that was tied to the mailbox and, like his namesake,  is sweet as can be. He's a giant puppy and even though he's got fairly proptective breeding - which some people mistake for aggression -  with the Rottweiler side, he's never let out a growl. The minute a person touches him, he melts into the kindness.  He is a gem, and we look forward to many years with our very own good dog, Carl!

   This is my dog, Chico. He is not any specific breed although he's really smart and he has the ability to understand everything. He was born on the first of May and I actually ordered him. I told people all I wanted was a middle-size dog, black and without long hair. And then Chico came in my life and of course I couldn't resist making him mine.  

      He's a fanatic anti-smoking dog, and he really doesn't like when people are yelling and fighting. He is a brave guard dog, and extremely jealous!  

      He can get whatever he wants because he's too stubborn, and after a fight with a Rottweiler he's afraid of every husky dog. He can find the way home by himself. He has the most expressive look that I've ever seen on a dog and after six years living together he can make me happy, even when sometimes life sucks. i'm really thankful for having Chico by my side.   

      Life is better when you have a pet to follow you.

Dog of The Day-9-1-2019

Age:Ten weeks old
Gender:MaleBreed: Labrador Retriever

   Hi, Meet my puppy, Maverick.  His daddy named him that because he is a big fan of the movie, "Top Gun." He is ten weeks old tomorrow, we have had him for three weeks now. He is a Yellow Lab, and we share the same birthday. (So we knew it had to be a sign!) He has many toys, but his favorite is a plastic pop bottle.  

      Maverick is very partial to our three cats, although they would have it otherwise, I am sure! He thinks they are puppies too. We can't wait for him to get big so he can take trips to the beach and the cottage and go swimming with us.  He is already beginning to "retrieve," although he tends to retrieve items he shouldn't have! Puppies will be puppies!  He is our little devil-child, but we love him dearly! 

      He looks so innocent though, doesn't he?

Dog of The Day-9-2-2019

Age:Eight months old
Gender:MaleBreed: Dog
Home: Durham, Ontario, Canada
 
   This is Lincoln.  He is eight months old and is a mutt.  We don't know what he all is yet.  

      He is a smart boy, and so sweet! He knows some tricks, the usuals like sit, stay, down, etc. He does not mind wearing his bandana, in fact seems happier when he is wearing one. We think he may be part Shepherd, maybe part hound, that little white tip on his tail is so cute! When I draw characters of dogs or wolves, I often include that white tail tip! 

      Lincoln's favorite toys are balls, and he usually carries one with himself, to be ready to play whever possible. He is pretty good at riding in the car, this picture was when he was little, and had just woken up from a nap. As you can see, his color has gotten more golden as he gets bigger. We love him and are curious to see what he is like as a grown up some day!
