I'd like to introduce you to my dog Macy. Macy is a nine-year-old mixed-breed dog who we adopted from the pound just days before she was to be put down. Macy lives with our family in Madison, Connecticut. Macy quickly acclimated to our house and welcomed home both me and my baby sister when we were born. She always acted like a big "sister" cuddling with us as babies and playing with us as we got older. Macy is a calm and flexible dog who handles our busy lifestyle easily. Macy eagerly welcomes us home each day after school with her "howl-hello" and friendly tail wag. Macy sometimes is mellow and cuddles with my stuffed animals or pillows in my room but when we go outside to play, she'll run and jump alongside us. During snowy weather, Macy will run alongside us when we sled and will even get into the sled once in a while too. She is great at catching snowballs in her mouth when we toss them high in the air for her. I consider Macy to be my best friend and rely on her everyday to make me smile. She is truly the best.

   My other Bichon (same name) had passed away. The previous one was as sweet as this one is, and much loved. Half year later after my first Missy passed away, a friend of mine decided my house wouldn't be a home without a Bichon ... even if there are other pets in the house.  

     Missy the Second is very sweet and playful. If you were to give her a treat she would take it and went all over the house looking for a good hiding place. Sometimes it is under my bed blankets or pillow, other times she would hide it behind couches. 

     She is more of an independent type. She barely barks, unless she feels that danger is near, or knows that I am at the front door. She loves her squeaky toys. She loves chasing her cat sister Bootsy, too. Whenever she is excited she tends to dance on her hind legs, impatiently 
waiting for me to open the front door and take her for a walk! I love her and am glad she is 
here.

Age:One year old
Gender:MaleBreed: Chinese Crested Powder Puff

   Cody is a very rare breed, he was hard to find. He is a Chinese Crested Powder Puff, with the full coat some of them have. He is a very curious dog. He loves to chew up things, he's constantly getting in trouble. He's not yet potty trained, but he will learn. He likes to bark at everything he sees. He even barks at his own toys  - but just ones he has seen. It is like he is saying, "there you are!" 

     Cody is smart and knows a few tricks, he can sit, lay down, play dead, and roll over. He's a very quick learner. He picks up tricks so quickly, and can get into mischief when bored. He may look like an angel, but he sure doesn't act like one. But we love him anyway.

   Hello! My pet is a dog and her name is Ronja. She is one year old and I love her very much. This is her baby picture, but she is much bigger now. It is just hard to get a picture now because she is moving all the time. 

     Ronja likes to lay in a basket in our kitchen. I like my dog, because she is very sweet and clever. I feed her two times a day and sometimes I walk around with her. Ronja often runs in our garden and she likes to swim in every lake she can find. Every morning when I wake up, she wants to play with me. She is the best pet for me.

 Dog of the Day-8-2-2019

   My friend found Emma at a place that finds homes for dogs.  They didn't think that they would find a home for her because she was 8years old and might have to be put to sleep. Emma came to us via jet all the way from California to Connecticut and she became an important part of our family. From the day we got her she became an instant baby.  She is such a good girl and is extreemly smart and curious.  Everybody who meets her falls in love with her immediately and she become their best friend.  She is so smart that she learned how to ride a vintage Vespa motor scooter, well, at least pose on one!    

     Emma doesn't like other dogs, except when they're at the doggie beauty shop.  She also hides her cookies under the sofa and chair cushions and save them for later.  Emma really likes to lick people's faces, arms and body parts when she meets them and she is so smart that when she rides in the car, she opens and closes the electric windows and locks the door.  When Emma lays down she her back legs extend like a frog and if you put your hand under her head, she will rest it on your hand.  We are so glad that we got little Emma and love her dearly.

 Dog of the Day-8-3-2019

Name:King 
Age:Eleven years old
Gender:MaleBreed:American Pitbull Terrier
Home: Philadelphia Pennsylvania, USA
 
   My dog's name is King. In the bottom picture he is one month old, in the second he is five months old. He is an American Pitbull Terrier of the Colby Bloodline.  

     Well, I have to first say that King is very important to me and my family. I can appreciate him more now because he survived through the Parvo Virus when doctors said that he wouldn't. He is the life of this house: he is my wife's best friend and my son's partner in crime. If you had a chance to meet King you'd really like him too. He gives excellent facials (licking your entire face) and makes a wonderful pillow.  

     He's that kind of dog that is very nice, very loving and not afraid to show it. He's also very playful. He loves to play fetch, that is his favorite game even though I think it's more like catch because he doesn't like to bring anything back. But that's okay,  we love him.
