This is one of my babies, her name is Rose and she is a Samoyed. Her birthday is in December. The thing about Rose that makes her most special is I did'nt pick her out, she picked me out! When I went to see the puppies, she came right over to me as if to say, 'You're mine!' It was impossible to ignore. She loves to play, and if you act like you're not paying attention to her she will say as plain as day, "I love you." She wants all the attention, so I get to hear I love you all the time. she lives with eight more dogs that I have, so it's really a attention war here. I have people ask me all the time why do I have so many dogs. The way I see it I have a big back yard and a big front yard, and Rose and my other dogs love me, as I do them. Rose and her family - human and canine - live in Bristol, Virginia.

Today's Dog-7-6-2019

   This is Hootie! He is a seven-month-old Yorkie from Indiana. Hootie is definitely a boy dog! He is a little trouble-maker with a stubborn personality. He is spoiled rotten though, because he lives with three girls! Hootie thinks he is tuff but he is really a mama's boy! =) 

     Hootie is extremely playful! He is always running laps around the house and going nuts with his toys. One day my roomate was sitting on the couch and all of a sudden his toy hotdog smacked her in the head. He had thrown it from behind the couch with his mouth. We say he has anger managment problems.  Its hard to take him on walks sometimes because he only wants to run. He loves to eat!! Probably because he burns off so much energy during the day. 

     Hootie loves everybody! It doesn't matter who you are, if he sees you he will want to run up and give you kisses. He acts like he is really tough and independent but he is very attached to his mom (me). He is very affectionate and cuddly only when he is tired. Other than that, he is always wanting to play.  His favorite thing to do is play hide-and-go seek with his daddy. His dad will hide behind doors and the couch and Hootie will go find him. Then he will jump out and scare him and Hootie will run off barking.  It is hilarious. He also loves to play football with the boys. They will through the ball to eachother and Hootie will chase every single throw. I'm am honestly obsessed with Hootie. I spend wayyyy to much money on him. Hootie currently has four shirts and I already bought him a Halloween costume. He is going to be a little devil=) Hootie is a great dog and is very entertaining! I don't know what I would do without him!

   We adopted Bella from Weimaraner Rescue of the South when she was seven  months old. Her previous owners no longer wanted her and just dumped her off at the vet. We cannot imagine anyone ever not wanting her! She is such a beauty, not only on the outside, but on the inside as well. 

     She is the sweetest Weim I have ever met. She does not meet a stranger, she just immediately loves everyone she meets. Bella is small for her age, but makes up for it in her personality. She loves to go for car rides, chase birds and squirrels, and follow you wherever you go. She is a great dog!!!!

   This is a picture of my dog Ginger getting waken up by a camera flash! Ginger is a thirteen-year-old Shepherd/Chow mix. We got her from the Animal Protection Association in Missouri when she was just six weeks old. Ginger's mother was a Chow Chow and her father was a GSD. Ginger is a very special dog to our family. The first day we brought her home, she would, and still does sit in my lap. It's harder now, because she's not a little puppy, she's 70lbs!  

     She is loving, loyal, affectionate, and a great guard dog. When Ginger was a puppy, she was always in trouble. She chewed the wood on the deck, ate through the kitchen table, ate through a windowsill, and she could never ever have a comfy bed to sleep on, because she would, and still does, eat it. Ginger has learned that every squirrel and rabbit that comes into the yard must get chased out! Ginger loves going for walks every day, playing tug-o-war, and bothering her older "sister" Chelcee, a Yorkshire terrier.

   Wiley (Coyote) Schmidt has made a difference in my life as his owner.  He is a rescue dog with a big heart and a lot of love to share with the world.  

     What makes Wiley (Coyote) Schmidt special? He's an inspiration to everyone he meets, and his happiness is contagious. I knew it the moment I saw him looking up at me with his big, bright eyes at the humane society that he was going to change my life for the better. And he has.  

     He's a lover of life and therefore a lover of all people. In addition to basic tricks like sit, stay, and rollover, the Packer fan in him loves giving high fives away throughout exciting Green Bay Packer games. The folks at the humane society called him emotionally needy, but as his adoptive parents we have discovered how much we enjoy his constant affection. 

     He is a four-year-old terrier mutt with a big heart and a thoughtful mind. He once started a blog to share his perspective - from the ground up.  But he now has two human brothers he is supervising and helping raise, so does not have the time to blog.  We all love him very much.
