Name: Rocky Age: Six months old Gender: Male Breed: Pomeranian, Chihuahua mix Home: Campbell, California, USA      Introducing Rocky Marciano Cuevas Pagliaro. Yep!  That's his name. He's now six months old and he's a PomChi (half Pomeranian, half toy Chihuahua).  When he plays, he bats his little paws like he's boxing so clearly we gave him the name of a great fighter .... accompanied by mine and my husband's last names.        Rocky is still trying to get used to going out the doggie door.  He doesn't like doorways.  He was so tiny that once we closed the door on him and he kinda got the jam.  So with the doggie door, he pushes it with his paws, swinging it outwards, waits for the door to swing in and then on its outswing again, he jumps through!  If it isn't just right, he won't go through so sometimes it takes several tries.  I bet he feels pretty superior when he makes though.  Funny that when he has a doggie play date, he doesn't think about the doggie door as much and pushes his way through without a second thought.      Rocky loves to stand up for us  on his back feet, especially for treats.  He also loves to fetch and tear up paper.  He's a lover and a great comfort when I'm sick.  And don't you love the two dog picture?  That's Hailey, his girlfriend.  That was their first play date.  He was telling her, "Look, I know you're a girl, and your taller than me but this is MY backyard you hear?  Ok, now let's go play!"        Rocky is so social.  He loves people, especially kids. Rocky's a little guy, weighing in at 9 lbs now but he steps up with the big dogs.  In fact, he loves big dogs.  He's enthusiastic and so much fun.  He's quite the character.  When you whistle or sing, he stops and cocks his head over to one side as if in amazement....or wonderment.  My husband and I are so glad we brought him home in late June when he was only eight weeks.  Now, at six months, Rocky is showing us his "guard dog" skills.  When a noise is suspicious, he lets us know.  He is definitely doing his job.        Con Dios, Amor, y Salsa!

Benno is a six-year-old dog and I love him very much. When I get up in the mornings, he follows me because he's hungry. Benno eats bones and dog food. Often he comes to look after me. After I feed him, he wants to sit next to me.      Sometimes I want to play with him but he has done a mistake. When iIcall him , he usually comes, though. He is a good dog. The door is usually open for him so he often goes outside. Usually Benno is hungry, but that's okay because I love him very much. Hugs, Angel

Name:	Shadow	Age:	Thirteen years old
Gender:	Female	Breed:	Siberian Husky, German Shepherd mix
Home:	Washington, Oklahoma, USA
Her name is Shadow, and she is 13 years old. She was a rescue dog from the Norman Oklahoma Animal Shelter. We were told she is one half Siberian Husky and one half German Shepherd. We are from Washington, Oklahoma, which is in McClain county. At heart she is really a one-person dog, but she loves whole family.  She is absolutely the best dog our family has ever had.      She likes to follow the grandkids everywhere. She makes her own decisions, goes, eats, sleeps when and where she wants. She has to be outside when we are, to prove her love for us. It is hard for her to get around now, but she still goes outside with me. She is a great dog, part of the whole extended family.  It is going to hurt everyone when she is not with us anymore, but even the best dogs cannot live forever. We will always love her.

Name:	Tequila	Age:	Six and a half years old
Gender:	Male	Breed:	Dog
Home:	Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brasil
Tequila was a street dog until he was rescued by a protectress of animals of the city when he was about 11 months of age. He was so cute that I fell in love with him the moment we met, and just had to take him home! He is a very smart boy - probably how he survived on the streets, so it took some patience but he pretty quickly learned things like wearing a collar would not kill him, and walking into a doorway was not a thing to be feared. He still does not like baths, but gets lots of praise and runs around like a crazy puppy when it is over.        Tequila is a great little dog, and his attitude is much bigger than his size. He keeps me smiling every day. I love him very much!
