Dog of The Day-2-19-2020


Name:	Sugar	Age:	Four and a half years old
Gender:	Female	Breed:	American Cocker Spaniel
Home:	Michigan, USA
Sugar is our American Cocker Spaniel - they are a shorter-legged breed than the English Cocker Spaniel, in case you were wondering. Sugar is an active couch potato! By that I mean when she is awake she goes a mile a minute, and then when she stops, she is immobile on the couch - or whatever soft surface she chooses. She dressed as a joker at a 4-h dress up contest. (And yes, the joker is wild!) She also enjoys eating, sleeping, and eating - and sniffing and playing. Sugar shares her home with Cindy, a purebred mutt, and they enjoy taking their owner for walks as often as possible. She's a sweetie, if you hadn't already guessed by those big brown eyes. We love her very much!

   This is our favorite picture of our dog Willie. He is a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. He will be turning one year old on Feb. 23. He is special because he sits on a chair like a person.  If there is no small chair around such as a cushion, he will sit on your feet. 

     Willie is also special because he loves everybody, and yet is always staying faithful to his master. He lives here in New Brunswick, Canada. His full name is "Beinnbhreagh's William" - that is his breeder name, but he is always Willie to us. We love him very much.

Dog of the Day-February 23, 2020

Age:Deceased
Gender:MaleBreed: Bedlington Terrier
Home: England, United Kingdom
 
   This was our dog Spanky. He was a male Bedlington Terrier with plenty of life and had a lovely disposition. He particularly liked long walks and meeting new people. Everyone he met was considered a friend, and people were always drawn to his lamb-like looks. He was five in this picture, and it is my favorite one of him, though he has since passed away from old age. 

     Spanky was not only a great dog, he was my hero. One day he saved my life when I fell in a canal lock and Spanky quickly alerted strangers to the scene. He knew he could not pull me out, but found people who could. He will live forever in my heart.

Dog of the Day-February 24, 2020

Age:Ten years old
Gender:MaleBreed: Golden Retreiver, Labrador mix
Home: Isanti, Minnesota, USA
 
   Bo is a ten-year-old Golden Lab and resides in Isanti, Minnesota. They said he is half Golden Retriever, have Labrador Retriever, hence calling him a"Golden Lab." My husband and I got Bo from the Humane Society when he was four years old and he has been one of the best things that ever happened to me. 

     He is always there for me when I am down, and knows when I am having a bad day.  A couple years after we got Bo, I suffered a miscarriage ,and when I got home from the hospital he came over to the couch where I was lying down and he rested his head on my stomach and looked right into my eyes.  I don't know what I would ever do without him.

Dog of the Day-February 29, 2020

   Hi there! My name is Tazer and I am four months old. I really want to be featured because my brother was Dog of the Day once and he keeps making fun of me because I have not made it yet! As you can see, I am a gorgeous puppy! My mommy and daddy got me from Oklahoma and moved me to Texas!  

     My brother is from the same mom dog and dad dog that I am from so we are truly brothers - he is a chocolate Lab, though. He is two years older than me and is my best friend! I follow him around everywhere and want to grow up to be just like him. Mommy always says we are "monkey see, monkey do." My favorite thing to do is play and chew and play and chew! Dad has a whole stack of wood on the patio that I think are my own personal sticks! They are so much fun! And oh my goodness - mom and dad took me to the lake with brother for the first time last weekend and I swam! It was SO much fun! I loved it! 

     Anyway thank you for taking time to look at my pictures and read about me and I am really glad to be Dog of the Day!
