 Today's Dog-2-7-2019

Name:	Cuddles	Age:	Five years old
Gender:	Male	Breed:	Alaskan Malamute
Home:	North Carolina, USA
This second picture was taken just before Christmas.  I caught him in mid-bark - barking for a treat.  That's how I got him to sit still to take the picture.        We got him last November from the SPCA and he's a big baby (100 pounds).  We named him Cuddles because he whimpered in the car on the way home, but I was able to comfort him by putting my head next to his, whispering in his ear "I love you baby", and stroking him.  Whenever he got nervous he put his head next to mine for cuddling and comforting.        He loves popcorn, grapes (in limited quantities of course, as they aren't good for dogs) and apples.  His favorite position is on his back, legs spread waiting for a tummy rub.  He's a big teddy bear and he travels with us to our beach house whenever we go.  In fact, he balks at leaving; he's a beach bum too.        This dog is just super - loving and friendly to everyone and great around kids and older adults - he loves my Mom!  He is great on a leash and thoroughly loves being in the house with us.

 Today's Dog-2-8-2019

Name:	Roscoe	Age:	Fifteen years old
Gender:	Male	Breed:	Bull Terrier Mix
Home:	Honolulu, Hawaii, USA
Hi!  My name is Roscoe, and I am a Bull Terrier Mix.  I live in beautiful Honolulu. Before my family adopted me, I was left to fend for myself on the streets of Honolulu.  They rescued me from the Humane Society and I am forever grateful.  They tell me they picked me because I was so gentle and sweet when they saw me, and that they loved the fact that I am all white except for my black ears and nose. I am glad they did!      My favorite activities are going to the dog park, hanging out at the beaches in Hawaii (as you'll see in my picture), and lounging around the house with my family and friends.  I am extremely mellow and prefer to sit on my owners' laps whenever possible, despite the fact that I am now nearly 70 pounds.

 Today's Dog-2-9-2019

Name:	Nomi	Age:	Eight months old
Gender:	Female	Breed:	Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Home:	Sweden
This is Nomi. She is eight months old and a real lovely little lady! In fact, her pedigree name actually is Lovely Lady! I have waited for this girl for over three years and it was so worth it! She is absolutly amazing! Smart, loyal, willing to work and a funny puppy who makes me laugh every day. She is everything you can wish for in dog form.        Everyone that meets her thinks she looks like a tiny fox and they also like that her tail is almost black. Her big sister was featured a couple of years ago, her name is Willow and is now almost four years old. Time moves fast. Nomi and Willow share the same father; Zodias Leo, but Nomi's mother came to Sweden all the long way from Australia! Her name is Dusty.      When Nomi moved in she became best friends with my brother's Amstaff,  Jina. They're inseparable and so cute together. She also likes cats and sees them as her kin. She loves to cuddle up to our house cat and let her lick and wash her, as if she were a kitten.      As you may see both of them have kept their long beautiful tails even though their parents are all natural bob tails. They're NOT Cardigans, but Pembrokes. In Sweden it is illegal to dock tails and ears, there are no excuses to keep cutting into animals to please the human aesthetic!      She is named after the Sense8 character Nomi Marks. Her name means  "beautiful, pleasant, delightful" which I must say is spot on. She is all of those things.

 Today's Dog-2-10-2019

Name:	Wyatt	Age:	Nine years old
Gender:	Male	Breed:	Husky, German Shepherd, Labrador mix
Home:	Honeoye Falls, New York, USA
This is my dog Wyatt. He is nine years old and very sweet. We found him when we lived in Arizona. He was a stray dog. He was alone and scared running the streets by a school. We adopted him and loved him from the first minute we saw him. Our best guess is that he is a Siberian Husky, German Shepherd, yellow Labrador Retriever mix.        He has a very unique coloring and is very calm. He loves to go outside and chase squirrels in our backyard. He likes to eat his dog food and occasionally gets chicken and green beans if he is good. I like to take to him for walks and he likes to sleep in my room. We love him very much.
