Today's Dog-3-5-2019
| Name: | Amelia
| Age: | Four years old
| Gender: | Female | Breed: | Pitbull, Patterdale Terrier mix
| Home: | Gurnee Illinois, USA | This is my pup, Amelia. She's a four-year-old pit-patterdale terrier mix and is a little ball of joy. We currently live in Illinois.
She has a very strong hunting drive (even though we don't hunt), which is great because when we're out skating and she sees a squirrel, we really take off! But it's not so great when she sees a skunk out the window at 3 am, and starts barking loud enough to wake the neighbors.
She's a wonderful model, which is weird because she won't sit still anywhere else. This is helpful, as I am a profesional photographer. She now has a puppy brother, so between the two of them, life is pretty busy!

Today's Dog-3-6-2019
| Name: | Margo
| Age: | Six years old
| Gender: | Female | Breed: | Greyhound
| Home: | North Brunswick, New Jersey, USA | Margo adopted us in last Feburary. She is a retired racer who runs around in circles in our yard with her adopted brother Monty. She is clearly the boss even though Monty is a lot bigger. She loves sleeping, running and nudging humans.
Margo is affectionate in an independent way. She makes it very clear when she wants love. She will stand in front of you and give "puppy dog" eyes. Than she will lean against you for as long as you are willing to pet and scratch her. Her disposition is very docile and gentle. When she is not pestering her adopted brother Monty by play nipping his neck and hopping in front of him, she sprints around the backyard at top speed.
Margo volunteers twice a month at a local hospital and her calm personality puts patients and staff at ease. Often patients tell her that she "made their day." Since she is a retired racer, she does live a peaceful life in retirement and it seems as if her favorite pastime is sleeping on her big fluffy bed.
Margo is our first Greyhound and we love her dearly. Hugs, Angel

Today's Dog-3-7-2019
| Name: | Picasso
| Age: | Eight years old
| Gender: | Male | Breed: | Cattledog, Shepherd mix
| Home: | Campbell, California, USA | His name is Picasso, like the painter, because he has a white tip on his tail; it looks like he dipped it in a bucket of white and was painting with it! He is about eight years old now, but you would never know it because he has plentiful energy! The second picture is from when he was an actual puppy - it took a white for his full fluff to grow in.
He is the most beautiful and perfect cross between a Queensland Cattledog (also called a Red Heeler) and Australian Shepherd; we say he's a Texas heeler! He is smart, and knows many tricks and commands. He is friendly, too - he loves his stuffed animals, brief naps on the big bed, loves his family, walks, runs, and pretty much every human he meets. He resides in Campbell, California and he's the best!

Today's Dog-3-8-2019
| Name: | Austin
| Age: | Seven years old
| Gender: | Male | Breed: | Shar Pei
| Home: | San Antonio, Texas, USA | Austin is a Chinese Shar Pei. He was a rescue from an animal hoarder. He was rescued by the North American Shar Pei Rescue and I adopted him through them when he was about a year old. Shar Pei are not a breed for just anyone, they need special care to keep them healthy. Those wrinkles, though adorable, can get food trapped in there and cause infection if they are not tended to. So being neglected is painful for them physically as well as devastating emotionally. It was obvious his early life left him with baggage, but I knew he needed a loving home.
We continue to deal with his skittishness on a daily basis and I accept whatever kind of affection he gives me. He's come along way, but still doesn't feel 100% safe and secure, even with me. But I love him, and seeing him happy is worth everything.

Today's Dog-3-9-2019
| Name: | Chopper
| Age: | One year old
| Gender: | Male | Breed: | Chow Chow, Pitbull mix
| Home: | United States | We adopted Chopper from the SPCA. When we first got our dog, he was about six months old. Now he loves us for it and you would be able to tell. Whenever we come home, he will always jump on us and give us a thousand kisses. and his tail will become a helicopter, going around and around at a hundred miles an hour.
He has a talent for eating shoes. He has eaten thirteen pairs of my favorite sandals, and three sneakers. But it was my fault, after the first one, anyway. Also he ate one of my friend's sandals! Chopper loves things to chew and especially LOVES raw hides. Whenever we give one to him he goes crazy! Sometimes when we are playing he starts nipping, but we know it's just playbite, and he is still a puppy, and we still love him!
